Tipp Chamber Awards Businesses and Citizens at Annual Gala Troy, OH (December 4, 2013) – The Tipp City Chamber of Commerce held their annual Holiday Gala on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at The Crystal Room with nearly 200 in attendance. This is the Chamber’s largest fundraiser of the year providing an opportunity to highlight member businesses and honor award recipients. For many years, the Chamber has presented the top community business and citizen honors at the Holiday Gala. This year, we are pleased to honor four award recipients that represent excellence in community and business for the Tipp City area. Congratulations to these honorees: Young Professional of the Year, Diana Featherstone Citizen of the Year, Tim Evans Small Business of the Year, Midwest Memories Antiques – Terri Bessler Business of the Year, Indian Creek Fabrication – Andy Dakin Additionally, both State Representative Richard Adams and State Senator Bill Beagle presented Citizen of the Year recipient, Tim Evans, with a commendation for his active participation in the Tipp City community. Again this year, the Tipp City Chamber recognized member businesses that celebrated a milestone anniversary in 2013. Congratulations to these area businesses that have been in business for many years: 10 years - Canine Creations, Fox's Pizza Den, Preferred Payroll Service 15 years - Doll Layman, Greenfire Bistro 20 years - Royal Crest Agency 25 years – Thomas R. Cochran Co., LPA, WiGro Construction 30 years - Cairns Toys, Hospice of Miami County, Stanley Steemer 35 years - Cotterman & Company, Inc. 40 years - Edison Community College 70 years - Tipp City Area United Way 100 years - Battelle & Battelle LLP 115 years - Favorite Insurance 150 years - US Bank, Ginghamsburg Church Special recognition was also given the James Bayliff, Frings & Bayliff, for his 50 years of service as a liscensed funeral director. Recognition was also give the Tipp City citizen, Eric Alexander, "who unselfishly contributes to strengthen the fabric of the community.” The Tipp City Chamber of Commerce is recognized as the principal resource for business development in our community.
