Very disappointed. My mom has been a customer for several years. She had the yearly maintenance contract. All was fine until this past fall when they said she needed a new heating and air conditioning system. The current unit is only 11 years old. She lives by herself and they convinced her it was too old and leaking, so a new one had to be installed. The price quoted was $10,349.00. Her house is only 1,661sqft. She signed an estimate, not a contract. When my brother and I found out we were not happy. My brother was there the morning that the installers came and told them we were getting a second opinion and refused the installation. After the installers left, the office called my mom and told her she now owed them $500 because she signed a CONTRACT, and they brought the unit from their warehouse in Dayton. (She lives in Huber Heights, long drive, I know.) Before we could get a copy of the ESTIMATE she signed, she took a $500 check to them. NO WHERE on the ESTIMATE did it say that there was a "restocking fee". Results of the second opinion: $912 for a new seal, including labor. AND they said the unit will likely last another 5 or 6 years. We will no longer be using Ed's Heating and Cooling for anything. UNTRUSTWORTHY. It would be great if they gave the $500 back, but I know they will not. Lesson Learned, BEWARE.

The operator was super knowledgeable and easy to work with. The cost for just going out to the location to verify (in my opinion) is in the high end at $98 dollars. The operator and the main desk did not make me aware of the additional cost of going out to verify after hours and ended up paying way more than I expected $296 for just closing the valve on the main. Recommend the company to tell their customers before getting the service. I will not use them again.

I have been using Ed's for about 8 years, ever since I bought my house. My air conditioning recently died on me, they came out the next day first thing in the morning to check it out, diagnosed that it needed replaced. They got me in the next day, again first thing in the morning with a new unit. Their techs were courteous as usual, helped to tell me what I should do to prevent my dogs from damaging the new unit and got me all set.

I usually have so much trouble with service at my house, but every time I have Ed's out (at least 6 times over the years) their techs are very nice and I get my problems taken care of quickly and easily.

I am surprised at the quality of the website you have, it is very good, but it is a real shame that it does not reflect the poor quality of work you offer, I requested a repair service for some switches and sockets in my house and you sent me three people without training in basic electricity. You promised that in two hours they would solve the aforementioned problem for which you would charge me 150usd per hour. After the 2 hours ended you did not solve the problem but you charged me 250usd to do nothing, break the cover of one of my outlets. Totally frustrated with the person who recommended your company and of course with the lack of professionalism in your work. Where is the 100% warranty.

Very pleased with the very skilled professional and friendly crew that worked very diligently to track down and repair a leaky pipe in our slab home. Expert diagnosis while keeping us informed through each step as well as extremely clean and efficient work. From initial call to completion of the job we are very pleased. Ed's will be my go to for not only plumbing issues but electrical and HVAC moving forward. Thank you Ed's for a stellar job!

The only good thing is they were on time and fairly fast. I felt like I got scammed because I'm a single blonde female. The fixed a lot but I don't think all of it needed fixed.

I believed in Eds. I wanted to love Eds Heating and Cooling but what they just pulled on me is absolutely appalling! Our oil boiler kept cutting off so we called Eds. We have had Eds service our boiler in the past and called them right away to fix the problem. J the boiler guy came out, looked at (eyeballed, not physically did anything) the boiler and told us that the pump had gone bad on our weil/mclein 1992 boiler. This part was not made anymore. J said he knew this because he called the manufacturer and that we will need to have a new system put in. I was shocked, but we liked Eds so he had another guy M, to come over and give us some estimates. Min. of 6600 dollars to put in another brand new weil/mclein boiler. Ours was only 21 years old so we said goodbye and called over 2 other companies to give us another estimate. Come to find out, we DIDNT need a new boiler. The nozzle was clogged pretty good and it was wrong size, filter was clogged and the electrodes were bent. But see, we paid Eds to not only do a huge tune up on it in October BUT they never even took the system apart! Then they tried to upsell me another boiler! I called the company and spoke with E and she actually tried to make me feel like I did something wrong! That the holy mother of a tune up in october to right now was done and we MUST have done something to our own boiler in such a way to cause all this damage! I DONT THINK SO! We didnt even turn on the boiler until Dec4th. They were the company we called for all the work we had done and now, in my opinion, we have been overcharged and the work we feel may not even been done! I would run, not walk away from this company. Shame on you Eds. Shame on you!
